What comes after the Linux foundation?
After the three foundation levels, a student goes deeper in one direction: Cybersecurity and Defence, DevOps and Cloud, or Data and AI. All three start from the same Linux foundation, so nobody has to decide early. The choice is made later, with a mentor, once the student knows what they enjoy.
When is the direction chosen?
Only after the foundation. Until then every student follows the same path, and a mentor helps them choose once they have real experience to choose from.
Can a student change direction?
Yes. The foundation is shared, so switching costs little. Certification preparation is the part that is specific to one direction.
Which certifications do they aim for?
Cybersecurity prepares for CompTIA Security+. DevOps and Cloud prepares for AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. Data and AI prepares for a vendor data and AI associate certification.
